The ideal candidate will develop reports for both internal and external clients. Reports will be developed using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) 2005/2008 R2 and Crystal reports.Summary of Functions & Responsibilities
Design and implement enterprise reporting solutions.
Interfaces with users and domain experts. Strives for establishing a high-level of trust & credibility with these people, and recognizes that our products must bring value to them. Strives for perfecting communication skills necessary to best achieve this goal.
Ensure that reporting development goals are captured in deliverables and that milestones are met.
Assists with resolution of production issues on an -as needed- basis.
Trains often to stay abreast of technologies in the Microsoft reporting solutions.
Strives for maximum reusability of code.
Develop optimized stored procedures and views for reuse.
Skills & Experience Required
BS in computer science or equivalent required (i.e. 4+ years of report development experience)
Solid experience with MS SQL Server development (stored procedures, views, triggers, functions, query optimization)
Familiarity with MS SQL Server administration (security, performance tuning, index strategies, configuration options)
Experience with Microsoft Report Viewer Control
Strong problem solving skills
Experience using source code management (SVN) tools.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, especially pivot tables, reports, and charts
Good interpersonal and team development skills
Able to stay focused and deliver results.
Knowledge of and operational experience in a health care related field a plus.
