SQL SERVER DBA NetSpend
The SQL Server DBA will be a member of a DBA team who is responsible for supporting all aspects of our SQL Server Database computing environment. The individual will be responsible for supporting, securing, and monitoring all SQL Server database systems.
Responsible for the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, support and maintenance of all SQL Server database systems including Production, QA, and Development server environments.
Perform day-to-day management of database environments to include back-up and recovery, database optimization, database replication and performance tuning.
Develop and maintain documentation and design drawings based on current and future specifications.
Take part in DBA team on-call pager rotation.
The candidate will be expected to identify opportunities for improving system quality and implementing more efficient processes and management of databases.
Understand business drivers and strategies, and recognize opportunities for technology innovation to support strategic initiatives.
5+ years working in SQL Server Database Administration.
Experience with administering SQL Server versions (2005, 2008 and 2012).
Extensive Experience with SQL Server High Availability technologies (Clustering/Mirroring/Replication) technologies.
Experience in upgrading SQL Server Databases.
Experience in DR planning and implementation of SQL Server environments.
Experience in Oracle Database Administration is a huge plus.
Strong knowledge of T-SQL/Stored procedures functions and triggers.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Powershell scripting experience.
Strong problem solving skills.
Strong documentation skills.
