SQL Server Report Writer SeaMobile

GENERAL PURPOSE: Responsible for management reporting, data consolidation, and data analysis. Utilizes software to generate metrics and develops actionable recommendations. Provides support by collecting and analyzing data and reporting results. Collaborates with various functional teams to achieve business results. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Responsible for monitoring the performance of reports and taking corrective action to optimize the reports when necessary.
? Reconcile discrepancies between the expectations of management and information presented in their reports.
? Use computed or aggregated columns (averages, sums or statistical computations) and write sub queries, nested queries and complex sql statements to present the required data. As enterprises grow, collect data across a network of legacy applications and databases.
? Present timely, up to date or current data. This is especially important for time sensitive reports or scheduled reports.
? Understanding of System Development Life Cycle.
? Create and/or enhance ?Documentation and User Guides? of products and processes.
? Produce appropriate documentation for features implemented.
? Position includes Quality Assurance responsibilities of internal developed projects prior to being released for User Acceptance Testing.
? Introduction in Software Development of Windows and web-enabled applications.
? Interact with Users to gather business requirements to document and develop new software features and services.
? Any other related duties/tasks as may be assigned.
NATURE OF WORK CONTACTS: Works under the supervision of the Manager of Software Development and interacts directly with other departmental personnel and external company customers.
TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:
? Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science/Computer and Information Science/Information Systems
? 5+ years of experience in Report Writing, especially in Microsoft SSRS
? 1+ years development of windows applications and web interfaces in a Microsoft Environment.
? Microsoft Visual C#.Net, Microsoft Visual Basic.Net, Microsoft ASP.Net
? - HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, Silverlight
? Visual Studio Tools
? 5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008
? Possess excellent verbal and writing skills
? Capable of performing work with limited supervision
? Excellent debugging and analytical skills required
PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS: This position requires heavy computer use. Office environment.
Minimal US and International travel.
