Sr. Account Manager, Strategic Accounts Vertafore, Inc.
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED We seek a senior level person to protect and grow our most strategic enterprise account relationship. This key person serves as the liaison between Vertafore and the senior level contacts within this account. Key goals of this role include directing all activities within the account, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, expanding the account relationship, growing revenue within the account and managing the transitions from pre-sales to implementation to post-production support.
Roles and Responsibilities
Develop, maintain and nurture relationships with top strategic accounts.
Develop and execute account and sales expansion strategies.
Leverage existing executive client relationships to close additional sales ? professional services or additional product offerings.
Conduct strategic account reviews/planning with customer
Build and maintain solid pipeline and prospect list.
Uses Vertafore standard sales methodology in all prospect/ customer contact.
Responsible for ensuring the highest level of client satisfaction through on-going personal attention and by working closely with support functions to ensure smooth hand-offs for conversions, implementations, training, and client support.
Act as client advocate and escalate issues as necessary.
Ensure efficient management of territory and expenses.
Maintain the highest level of industry and product expertise.
Keep abreast of competitive activity and Vertafore advantages vs. competition.
Professional and Technical Competencies
Well-versed in financial/insurance industry concepts.
Strong understanding of Insurance business? workflow and business objectives, and ability to translate product application into the solution to the Customer?s business problems
Strong written, verbal and presentation skills required
Strong networking and internal communication skills required
Demonstrated ability to follow sound business ethics when executing job responsibilities to build and maintain management confidence
Strong technical skills ? WEBEX, Word, Excel, MS Office, and PowerPoint
Excellent technical knowledge of insurance industry.
Excellent understanding of general business issues including external factors that impact the business and industry.
Self-motivated; ability to work independently
8+ years selling complex B2B software and services.
5 years of major account management and growth experience preferably in the software, technology space
Experience within a multi-dimensional operating environment is essential (i.e., not a mono-line, single market environment).
Experience in the financial services or insurance industry arena is preferred.
Bachelor's degree required.
