The role of the Senior Accountant is to be responsible for the processing of all AR and AP functions with the skills necessary to supervise staff as the accounting group expands. Also will assist Controller with monthly closings and account reconciliations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Processing of daily AP activities including invoice processing, expense reports and credit cards.
Bi-weekly check disbursements.
Monthly bank reconciliations including credit cards.
Communicating to AP vendor calls and emails.
Vendor trade references and setup.
Vendor statement reconciliations.
Ensure AP postings to General Ledger are accurate. Ensure AP aging is reconciled.
Generate AR invoices and reports for assigned clients and or specific Project Managers.
Assisting with month and year-end close.
General ledger account reconciliations.
Scanning of documents for paperless filing.
Participation in special projects as needed.
Additional duties as required.
Bachelor?s degree in accounting or finance.
5 to 7 years accounting experience including balance sheet reconciliations and accounts payable functions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively and respond efficiently to various members of the management team.
This position requires interaction with all levels of the organization, ability to work in a fast-paced, detail and deadline oriented environment, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in Microsoft programs such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Previous supervisory experience.
Public accounting experience.
Experience with MAS200.
Regularly required to sit for extended periods of time; frequently required to move about to access file cabinets and use office equipment such as PC, copier, fax, telephone, etc.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and use of computer monitor screens a great deal of time.
Individual?s primary workstation is located in an office area.
The noise level in this environment is low to moderate.
