Position Summary:
This position will report directly to the Sr. Accounting Supervisor and will be responsible for overseeing daily activities of the A/P department and assisting with month-end close. This is a problem solving position which requires identifying and resolving process issues. This position will not only support accounts payable, but will be responsible for day-to-day accounting functions, assisting in the billing process, recording and reconciling accounts and assisting management with various ad hoc projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following but other duties may be assigned.
Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Operations. This position is responsible for managing a team of accounting professionals and overseeing the day-to-day operations of these areas. These operations include:
Credit
Collections
General A/P
Employee Expenses
Cost of Sales
Procurement
Implement and streamline processes to maximize efficiency and comply with SOX requirements.
Oversee departmental projects and provide regular status updates to management. This position is expected to leverage their own experience and knowledge of GAAP to drive the ultimate success of these projects. Successful candidates must be able to trouble-shoot and arrive at solutions independently.
Provide monthly reports to finance department and work directly with Director of Financial Planning & Analysis on ad hoc assignments.
Responsible for updating sales goals and calculating commissions and bonuses.
Assist A/R team with monthly billing process - includes analyzing and comparing internally prepared billing reports, ad server reports and sales contracts, calculating billable amounts, inputting invoices into accounting system, and assisting with final reconciliation to master billing report.
Ensure A/R invoices are in compliance with sales contracts (in both dollars and units). Contracts may span over a three to six month period therefore applicant must be efficient and effective at retaining documentation for all prior billing months.
Assist with month-end close process.
Assist management with ad-hoc projects.
Assist with process implementation resulting from mergers and acquisitions.
Reconcile Balance Sheet Accounts.

Education and/or Experience:
Minimum 2 years public accounting experience (Big Four preferred) and 1-2 years in private, supervisory experience required
Minimum of 4-7 years related work experience in Accounting with progressive experience.
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting.
Experience with Sage AccPac a plus.
CPA Preferred.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of:
Working knowledge of MS Office programs.
Proficient in Excel spreadsheet development, including the ability to create formulas & schedules.
Experience with accounting software required.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
