Job Description
Sr. Accountant
The Sr. Accountant is responsible for the most complex activities associated with general ledger, financial/operating reports, and budget analysis under general supervision.
-30%-50% Travel within the 1st 6 months
-No Relocation Offered
-No Third Party Submittals Accepted at this Time
Position Responsibilities
Prepare monthly financial statements
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and various analysis worksheets
Conduct month-end closing process including journal entries, financial statement preparation, and budget to actual analysis
Analyze trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses
May lead and coach lower level accountant(s)
Required Skills
Requires broad knowledge of accounting practices and principles including the preparation of strategic recommendations to management
Strong analytical, communication and customer service skills.
Strong aptitude for working with numbers.
Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.
A team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
Required Experience
Position Qualifications (Required)
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university
5 years experience within an Accounting function with the recent 2 years in Corporate Accounting
2 years experience within a Sr. Accounting role
2 years experience with Accounting software
2 years of advance usage of Microsoft Office Suite including strong Excel (macros, pivot tables, linking, etc.) and Access skills
Strong communications skills ? written and verbal
Position Qualifications (Preferred)
MBA with an concentration in a related field from an accredited college/university
Experience within the healthcare industry
Experience with Great Plains
Public accounting experience
CPA or CPA candidate
