Role:
The Online Marketing Analyst will work closely with the senior marketing team, leading the development of KPIs and dashboards, managing analytical projects and structuring all scheduled and ad-hoc reporting. In addition, he/she will work within a number of online marketing channels, reporting on various campaigns, synthesizing the data, developing insights and recommending actionable next steps.
Responsibilities:
--Lead development of KPIs, forecasting models and dashboard/reporting designed to monitor and improve marketing campaign performance
--Monitor, analyze and report performance of Paid Search, SEO, social media, display, email and offline campaign performance across company owned websites
--Take a consultative approach to optimization recommendations to improve campaign performance against key metrics
--Develop segmentation and testing strategy for email, social media, display and offline direct response channels
--Develop landing page and creative test strategy; work with channel leads to implement tests, measure performance and interpret results
--Work with Product and Merchandising teams to analyze performance of site features and merchant offers for users from different traffic sources
--Perform ad hoc analyses per department requests and analyses to identify and recommend revenue and monetization opportunities
--Quickly identify causes and solutions to issues or unexpected results are identified in reporting
--Develop business requirements for technical initiatives needed to support reporting, testing, and analytics
--Effectively prioritize requests in accordance with corporate goals
--Assist with the development of marketing forecasts by channel
--Conduct research on and provide insight into industry / competitive search trends using 3rd party data
Requirements:
--Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, finance or other quantitative discipline required
--Prior work experience in marketing and/or statistical analysis, with at least 2 years of experience in an online business unit or at a consumer internet company
oExperience working in web analytics and/or digital media analytics in an e-commerce environment is preferred
--Knowledge of search marketing, online advertising, ROI analysis & branding measurement
--Experience working with web analytics packages such as Omniture Site Catalyst, Google Analytics or CoreMetrics
--Knowledge of campaign management tools including search platforms and 3rd party ad serving tools such as Kenshoo, Marin, DoubleClick, Atlas and MediaMind is a plus
--Knowledge and experience with advanced statistics and modeling is a plus
--Intellectual and analytical curiosity - initiative to dig into the "why" of various results and a desire to grow responsibility
--High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas) and SQL (required)
--Experience with database tools and data management such as SAS, SPSS, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Teradata, Sybase, MS Access, Excel PivotTables, MS SQL Server as well as enterprise business intelligence tools such as Cognos, Business Objects or Tableau
--Able to work independently and proactively, identifying issues and raising them to senior management, as well as offering potential solutions
--Excellent project management skills including the ability to formulate and drive detailed plans and key performance indicators to report on the health of each project
--Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines
