JOB POSITION: Senior Business Analyst
JOB LOCATION: Novato
JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing and communicating business requirements and designing solutions for assigned product support or development project activities for the Infor HCM product. As a member of the development team, the Senior Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the realization of these designs through the product development lifecycle, and maintaining close involvement during implementation to ensure successful adoption. The position involves close interaction with product management, customers, product architects, developers, quality assurance and technical writers. The Senior Business Analyst is expected to possess a deep, hands-on understanding of the functionality and needs of users of Infor HCM solutions. .
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* (40%) Identifies and documents requirements including:
o Breaks down high-level business/user requirements into a functional product design, specified in an appropriate level of detail suitable for use by those who must base their work on it.
o Participates in requirements prioritization.
o Liason among Customer Delivery, Product Management, and Research & Development teams.
o Responsible to provide designs and input on coding, quality, and implementation considerations throughout the development lifecycle. These features and programs are usually parts of significant projects with Infor HCM.
o Serves as subject matter expert (SME)
* (40%) Identifies and documents designs and specifications including:
o Participates in design reviews and other work product documents derived from requirements specifications to ensure that the requirements were interpreted correctly.
o Ensures that product designs successfully fulfill the needs that are defined in the business requirements.
o Identifies potential technical problems or design flaws so that preventive action can be taken.
o Identifies usage patterns/entity relationships and abstracts them to common, reusable components.
o Strong advocate of Infor HCM best practices
o Leads cross-functional teams throughout the product development cycle, ensuring delivery of complete, market-ready solutions
* (20%) Other tasks assigned including:
o Provides domain knowledge/product knowledge to development and QA teams and as a subject matter expert on products to support groups such as marketing, documentation, training, support, field services and clients. This includes being an expert on the business processes, designs and specifications that area within their respective are to senior management with Infor HCM.
o Present designs/product features to customers (internal and external). Specifically, present at trade shows, client meetings and training.
o Works with other members of the software development team to plan projects that will require specifications, and designs.
o Evaluates, incorporates and documents product change orders throughout the software development life cycle.
o Exhibits innovation in the development of new/improved methods or approaches to problems.
o Creates and deliver presentations to various internal/external user communities with varying levels of product knowledge. Leads/participates in customer meetings. Specifically, focus group and lead adopter meetings, CUE sessions, beta consulting/training and strategic client meetings

o Develops training materials and trains Customer Delivery team.
o Identifies and implements resolution to problems with design processes so as to ensure software quality.
o Works with Product Management to identify and implement processes that facilitate the transformation of business requirements into successful product designs.
o Participates in the evolution/implementation of product development processes and tools.
o Participates in formulation of project plans.
o Communicates regularly with project management regarding project deadlines and progress; escalating issues as needed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work/education experience.
* 5 Years of relevant experience

* Strong knowledge with one or more of the following: web-based business applications, relational databases, and client server architecture.
* Knowledge of source code management and configuration management.
* Expert in one or more of the following: web-based business applications, relational databases, and client server architecture.
