As the Sr. Business Analyst, you?ll help take our analytic effort to the next level and shape BitTorrent to become a data-driven company. You will analyze the impact of product changes on high-visibility KPI?s, such as user acquisitions, retention, engagement, and monetization; and build real-time tracking metrics for new product prototypes to help track product usage and recommend changes.
Specific responsibilities include:
Performing detailed analysis to support the planning and impact assessment for company initiatives and deliver results to stakeholders
Work closely with Product Management and Engineering to develop key metrics for viewer and simulator performance to monitor and track availability and stability; and answer inquiries about churns and explain anomalies across different platforms and channels
Turning your ad hoc analysis into robust, ongoing, accurate reports to track results over time when desired
Participating in design reviews of new reports, dashboards, or analysis
Develop best practices for instrumentation and experimentation, and communicate those to the product teams
Ideal candidates will posses a strong combination of the following experience:
Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Business, Statistics or related (Master?s degree a plus)
7+ years experience developing technical analyses (must be comfortable manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources)
5+ years experience working extensively with SQL
Fluent with Toad, structured databases like MySQL
Strong experience with analytics tools such as Tableau and Data Visualization
Experience with one or more OLAP-style reporting tools (MicroStrategy, Business Objects, Cognos, etc.) and expert-level spreadsheets skills
Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills (must have the ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner)
Strong interpersonal skills; and ability to work well in a team environment
Familiar with BitTorrent technologies and ecosystem
