Sr Business Development Manager Project Leadership Associates

The Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for developing new strategic client relationships in the Chicago region, focused on selling information technology professional services. PLA service offerings span IT strategy, software development, business intelligence, managed service, and a full suite of infrastructure solutions, served to a diverse group of clients and industries. The individual is expected to develop, grow and manage a book of business to support the short, medium and long term plans of the firm in the region.
Responsibilities include:
Prospecting for both business (IT strategy, business intelligence) and technology (Microsoft centric) consulting professional services engagements (outside of PLA?s existing client base) in mid-market and Enterprise companies across a wide range of industries
Business development activities with prospects to identify solution needs and develop long-term business relationships
Qualification and follow-up of sales leads developed through PLA marketing efforts
Development of regional channel engagement model with principal partners Microsoft and SHI in order to maximize client relationships and pipeline opportunities.
Development and execution of go-to market programs in conjunction with marketing and solution groups in order to achieve individual solution strategy and revenue objectives.
The delivery of sales and technical training and mentorship program to key channel partners as it relates to critical Microsoft technologies and other third party technical products and services.
Leading commercial negotiations and contract discussions with existing and new clients.
Expand existing client relationships to sell additional Microsoft solutions and services
Preparation of proposals and technical Scopes of Work (SOW).
Pre-sales engineering efforts to develop solutions for the group as well as conducting client demonstrations and external marketing presentation.
End to end project management of nominated engagements in area of expertise.
Personal Experience and Competency Requirements include:
10 years minimum proven track record selling BOTH business and technology consulting services
Possess strong technical and commercial knowledge of Microsoft solutions, service offerings and Solution Selling methodology
Reliable track record of building and maintaining strategic relationships with contacts ranging from ?C? level to middle management
Possess strategic selling skills and experience
Strong verbal and written communications skills as well as good time-management and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Able to independently develop proposals and respond to RFP/RFIs tailored to clients? needs
Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Exhibit strong relationship building skills and consultative selling techniques
A Bachelor?s degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
