Sr. Compensation Analyst
San Francisco (SOMA)
The Sr. Compensation Analyst provides extensive analytical support for a wide range of compensation projects designed to support ServiceSource?s business strategies. Assists in the design, implementation and administration of compensation programs and policies related to short- and long-term incentives, reward and recognition programs, benchmarking, survey analysis, and emerging trends.
Lead and participate in the development, implementation and administration of compensation programs and tools to ensure our ability to attract, retain, motivate and develop our employees; offer competitive pay opportunities and support our pay for performance philosophy.
Develop & enhance complex compensation models in MS Excel.
Serve as a compensation consultant to HR management and line management.
Review and benchmark new roles, manage job documentation and leveling process; working with Managers, Talent Acquisition and HR to prepare job descriptions; evaluating job vs. level and assigning appropriate pay.
Coordinates market analysis, internal equity studies, and compensation practices audits.
Conducts job analysis, evaluation, and documentation, and ensures proper administration of base and variable pay programs.
Review promotion and adjustment requests for assigned client groups and develop recommendations based on internal equity, practices and current market trends.
Assist with the creation of training materials and communications on compensation programs and processes for HR and line management
Supports compensation programs, including annual compensation range reviews and incentive plan administration
Participate in the performance and compensation review process including lead administrator of SuccessFactors, the online performance management system.
Manages compensation modules within Workday: job codes, ranges, grades, all information related to table, code and other base structure development.
Maintain and run periodic as well as ad-hoc reports on compensation related data from Workday and SuccessFactors.
Conduct periodic audits to ensure accuracy of data. Respond to data requests by manipulating data at an expert level in Excel to present analysis.
Research best practices; develop proactive approaches to identify compensation challenges within customer groups and develop solutions.
Complete special projects and studies as assigned which may include the redesign of existing compensation programs, the development of new programs and the completion of ad-hoc analysis that outline specific observations and recommendations.
Responsible for compensation survey submissions and analysis
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel.
Experience with Workday and SuccessFactors a plus
A BS in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or other related discipline is preferred
3- 5 years experience in professional level support of Compensation / HR Operations function
Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, good customer service skills, ability to work independently in a fast paced ever changing environment
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Good understanding of government regulations as they apply to compensation, company policies and operations
