Overview:
iCrossing is looking for a Sr. Copywriter for their New York office.
Research, strategy, best practices, user experience, graphic interface, style guides, flash, ajax ? each important in its own right and demanding a different writing approach. And of course, compelling content is key. Are you a writing provocateur who can create it all? Are you a master at generating tone of voice, developing copy direction, and crafting headlines, words, phrases, and body copy? If you can write it with versatility and style, then we want to read it. All of it.
As a Senior Copywriter you?ll provide forward-thinking creative leadership and inspire creative collaboration within our agency. This will include co-creating exceptional concepts and leading the development of innovative copy for a wide range of iCrossing clients. Working in close collaboration with a talented team of Creative Directors and Designers, you?ll be an integral cog in our creative process. In addition, you?ll keep your trained eye on our ultimate goal of challenging the industry status quo and fulfilling our commitment to deliver outstanding work on projects large and small; including web engagements, digital marketing campaigns, display advertising, internal promotions, and external presentations.
Responsibilities:
Provide forward-thinking creative leadership
Inspire creative collaboration across the organization
Effectively translate branding and marketing strategies for a wide range of clients/verticals into exceptional creative concepts and executions
Develop and create innovative concepts in keeping with project scope: strategic positioning, business
requirements, timelines and budgets
Deliver outstanding copy for all-things digital: large scale web engagements, online advertising, digital marketing, business development initiatives, brand boards, and video
Prepare creative deliverables (copy decks, brand boards, creative comps, and style guides)
Qualifications:
4-year degree in a related field
5-8 years of professional writing experience in an advertising or interactive agency
Proven success in online and offline media delivered in an impressive portfolio of work (electronic submission or URL preferred)
Consistent display of interest and involvement in the industry. Applicants are encouraged
to include links/references to relevant activities that help round out their experience and interests. These references could be participation in or utilization of online communities, forums, blogs, ezines, contests, and/or personal projects.
Strong computer skills across a wide variety of creative based software programs (Microsoft Office, Adobe CS3)
Basic understanding of the capabilities and restrictions of selected technologies in the online space: (HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, Flash)
Exceptional writing skills (from long form to headlines)
Versatile writing styles capturing necessary tone and voice
Strong concepting ability
Passion for the creative process
Superior communication skills
To digest complexity and deliver simplicity
Desire to work with art directors and designers of all levels
