Summary:The Sr. Database Administrator performs technical DBA related tasks as part of Marketrons IT support team. Telecommuting is not available for this position.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The position requires an individual to provide database support for Marketron's line of software products, which are based on Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL. The position also requires proficient knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
The primary responsibilities and expectations for this position include but are not limited to:
Providing Sr. Level SQL and MySQL Database Support
Developing custom DB queries and reports
Troubleshooting complex data issues
Mentoring other DBA's
Thorough documentation and journal keeping
Effective participation in meetings
Other duties as assigned
Required Skill and Qualifications:
5-7 yrs experience working in a professional DB support and administration role or equivalent DB programming experience
Experience managing multiple databases in a high availability environment
Knowledge of SQL and MySQL backup, replication, and recovery procedures
Ability to work independently and in a small team environment
Superior oral and written communication skills.
