The Senior Designer is primarily responsible for leading a small team of designers in creating art for navigation structures and designs throughout our interactive products to best align the product visually with the Newegg brand, as well as constructing prototypes, storyboards, and mockups to effectively communicate designs to product management and development. The interaction design role depends greatly on user-centered design research and usability testing to guide their art direction/design.
Collaborate with team and show passion for creating top-notch interactive user experiences.
Design visual elements for all interactive experiences across multiple platforms.
Ensure all digital creative aligns to overall brand visions.
Hold expert-level knowledge of the interactive landscape, (both mobile and web based) competitors and complementary products.
Define and develop style guide for all aspects of art associated with products.
Understanding and appreciation of A/B testing and its influence on art/design choices.
Inspire yourself and the team around you to deliver our customers the best visual experience possible.
Preferred: BA/BFA/MFA preferred in a Design or Graphic Design.
Proven experience (min 3-5 years) in commercial interactive design or agency work
strongly preferred, but not necessary
Knowledge of site design, Flash animation, Adobe CS6 Suite, HTML (CSS a plus).
Strong knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology.
Knowledge of User Centered Design Principles and Practices.
Exceptional communication/presentation skills.
Good interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented, self-starter who is comfortable with independently managing deadlines.
Comfortable in a fast-pace environment.
