Volusion is looking for an experienced development operation engineer to architect, install and maintain infrastructure in support of Volusion Drupal instances . This individual should have proven experience with Drupal administration and optimization of the supporting LAMP and solr stack. The position will require architecting multi-site infrastructures and deployment strategies for multiple Drupal sites. The right candidate will have strong knowledge of LAMP-stack technologies, and working experience with technologies that make larger-size Drupal sites perform well, including Varnish, Squid, solr and CDN solutions. In addition, the candidate should be versed in troubleshooting Drupal plugins and themes (custom or default), and should know monitoring tools such as Nagios to monitor Drupal.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide technical leadership for administration and configuration of Drupal 7.0.
Architect and maintain LAMP stack environment for optimal performance of Drupal corporate websites.
Design, configure and maintain Varnish/Squid caching services to optimize Drupal corporate website performance.
Monitor LAMP Stack, Varnish and Website performance and troubleshooting Drupal issues.
Test, debug and troubleshoot LAMP platform level problems.
Provide guidance to development teams for selection (and/or creation) and configuration of Drupal modules based on application requirements.
Implement based websites including installation, configuration, custom module development and theming.
Assist with multiple Drupal 7 CMS (Content-Management System) site build outs and modifications.
Provide technical guidance for integration of solr indexing with Drupal Instances.
Provide technical guidance for integration of CDN solution with Drupal based site content.
Document system configuration, change/release processes, and procedures.
Share responsibility with team members for rotating on-call duties.
Operational management of Linux servers hosting the LAMP stack, Varnish and solr.
Automate infrastructure deployment for Drupal environments.
Stay abreast of the new front-end web development technologies, and integrate them to enhance the usability and efficiency of the site .
5-7 years supporting LAMP stack.
3 to 5 years of experience with Drupal architecture.
1 -3 years of experience with Varnish and solr.
Knowledge of best practices with Drupal and able to train and assist users and content creators .
Experience with configuring existing Drupal modules and creating customer modules.
Experience with version control systems such as GIT and TFS.
Administration of MySQL database instances a plus.
Experience developing applications utilizing the LAMP stack.
Experience with Nagios monitoring for Drupal.
Strong understanding of backend development and integration with front-end design
Experience with high-scalability oriented products:
Linux experience required.
PHP, HTML, jQuery with Ajax experience
