Responsible for originating strategic public relations programs/campaigns for corporate and the business units; oversee the National Events Manager and all corporate and business unit events; manage internal public relations staff; and creates and executes worldwide employee communications program. As the company spokesperson, the Director responds to media and other stakeholder questions, and builds key messages for company and disseminates to various audiences. Works with senior management and marketing teams and supervises all customer and other events in the EBC. Responsibilities such as hiring, firing, performance appraisals, and pay reviews.
BS/BA in Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
Minimum of 15 years experience in corporate and agency environment with a background in information
technology, digital and social media communications, security, or a related field.
4 years management responsibility
Strong verbal/written/presentation communication skills
Established relationships with trade, and national, daily and business press
Highest level of management skills with ability to effectively direct the company's communications operations to ensure the company's image/perception and current product positioning are reflected accurately and consistently to the market
Highest knowledge of public relations and communications principles and practices
Excellent time management, communications, decision making, presentation, human relations and organizational skills
Proficient PC skills
EESSENTIAL ESSENTIAL DUTIES &RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited, to, the following:
Executive Communications ? speech writing, speaking opportunities, media tours, awards, etc.
Manage communications for corporate announcements such as M&A activity and financial news, and any crisis situation - includes talking points, Q&A, employee and customer communications, etc.
Oversees editing of communications documents ? press releases, pitches, case studies, etc
Oversees booking and execution of press tours for senior management team
Oversees publicity earnings announcements
Analyzes editorial calendar for story placements from internal staff and agencies.
Raise the company?s visibility
Oversees the gathering of marketing, sales and product management to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines ? product launches, customer events, trade shows, press releases, sponsorship opportunities, etc
Mange internal staff, external vendors and budgets
Other duties as assigned
