Sr. Director, Demand Generation Alteryx
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Alteryx is looking for an experienced marketing leader to drive its demand generation and marketing operations. As the Head of Demand Generation, this person will report directly to the SVP of Marketing, manage a team of between 5 and 10 people initially, and lead all integrated Demand Generation campaigns. While this role is officially leveled as a Senior Director position, there is flexibility to create a VP position with broader scope of responsibility for more senior, experienced candidates.
This leader will be required to think, communicate and act on a strategic level while also rolling up his/her sleeves to serve in a hands-on capacity to execute and analyze marketing programs. This newly created role will own Alteryx?s marketing automation platform and marketing database (Marketo), and will be expected to lead the design, creation and execution of campaigns that include webinars, events, emails, sponsorships, social media and nurturing. This position will be located either at our Silicon Valley location in San Mateo, CA (where most of the marketing team is based) or at our corporate headquarters in Irvine, CA.
Manage and lead a team of demand generation professionals responsible for Alteryx?s portfolio of programs, including email marketing, lead nurturing, webinars, events, and paid programs.
Develop, coordinate and execute lead generation plans, programs and campaigns for new customer acquisition and to nurture and drive enhanced revenue from existing customer base. Collaborate closely with Product & Industry Marketing to define new campaigns.
Leverage Marketo and Salesforce to measure, track and analyze marketing programs and performance.
Manage marketing calendar and ensure all lead scoring and nurture programs are monitored and optimized.
Negotiate with content, list and events vendors as well as track and manage a sizable marketing demand generation budget, accounting for approximately two-thirds of Alteryx Marketing spend.
Analyze campaigns and programs for effectiveness and make valid conclusions; conduct marketing programs reporting and analysis.
Collaborate closely and facilitate communication between Marketing and Sales to achieve business goals.
Measure and improve ROI by campaign to drive investment decisions.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing demand generation for a B2B enterprise software company, including managing campaigns from concept to ROI analysis. Candidate must possess the following:
10+ years marketing experience. Minimum of 7 years of experience in demand generation for B2B Software Company, with proven ability to deliver consistently strong measurable results.
Strong accountability for generating pipeline and not just leads; wants to impact overall revenue.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
Excellent communication and writing skills?ability to write tight, targeted copy and also demonstrable experience communicating forthcoming campaigns and results to sales and executive teams.
Experience with Marketo (or equivalent) and Salesforce to generate, capture, nurture, track and report on leads, conversions, and ROI.
Experience in running a portfolio of quality lead generation programs. Experience should include: email and database marketing, content marketing, sponsorships, events, etc.
Experience developing a brand new or much improved lead scoring model with demonstrable results.
Creative, high energy, innovative, proactive, and resourceful.
Demonstrable skills in strategic planning and execution of marketing initiatives.
Track record of successfully managing multiple concurrent projects and consistently delivering on time.
Social media program experience a plus.
