Senior Director/Director of Marketing

We are seeking to appoint a seasoned Senior Director/Director of Marketing (depending on experience). This individual will have the experience and talent to position and message Varolii and its product and services lines in its target markets and differentiate it against competitors. The Director/Senior Director of Marketing will thrive in a highly entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment working with a world class engineering team focused on building and taking the best SAAS products to market. This position reports to the VP of Product Management & Marketing, and will be a member of the Executive Leadership team.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for messaging, branding and communicating the Varolii value proposition to customers, potential customers, partners and the industry at large. The primary responsibilities include the following:
Responsible for the corporate brand, for partnering with VP of Product Management & Marketing in positioning of the product brands, and positioning of our overall value proposition which also includes services
Define the brand position, the category , and Varolii?s brand topology
Manage the industry marketing efforts to develop whole product stories for each of the top 5 sectors, and maintain Target Market Programs for those sectors
Work closely with Product Management to ensure timely product launch materials and artifacts
Align brand strategy, public relations, analyst relations ( Forrester) and communications and build and maintain relationships with key market and segment analysts
Lead executive Varolii brand/positioning sessions
Maintain, design and sustain and refresh the corporate web site and microsites
Drive lead generation campaigns to support Sales
Fully participate in the Varolii cross functional product launch process
Present Varolii brand , positioning and messaging to Varolii?s Board of Directors and top 20 client / partner executives to elicit feedback and recommendations
Analyze and track the competitive landscape
Design, operate and schedule the annual Varolii Customer Interactions Conference in collaboration with the SVP of Sales and Services
Assist in development of business relationships with key technical partners, channels and customers
Manage the main events in the Operating calendar to influence buyers and drive demand
Benchmark Varolii against its competitors in the following categories:
Brand
Positioning
Corporate Messaging
Maintain best practice cross functional team collaboration and communication processes
Drive segmentation of market and product segments in conjunction with VP of Product Management & Marketing, SVP of Global Sales & Services, and CEO
Manage and own the Corporate Net Promoter Score project
Requirements (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
A sense of controlled urgency, process-orientation and ability to make decisions quickly
Ability to synthesize and summarize complex market/technology information into clarity at high speed
