Position Overview:
This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining a strong relationship with named Steelwedge customers (portfolio of customer accounts) to ensure the highest levels of satisfaction and referenceability are achieved. The Director will oversee and ensure quality for active engagements, act as escalation point for customer concerns or issues and cultivate opportunities for new projects, upgrades and software-as-a-service expansion opportunities. This individual will be measured based on financial targets and customer satisfaction ratings.
The following are the primary responsibilities of the job:
Cultivate an excellent relationship with business, IT and executive management of customer organization.
Demonstrate value through deep understanding of our solution, ability to make appropriate trade-offs on scope, timeline and cost and strong customer advocacy
Oversight and Quality Assurance of active implementation or business process related engagements to ensure that the customer's business and timing requirements are achieved
Development (in conjunction with the project manager) of detailed project program plans that incorporate all elements of the services deployment lifecycle (scope, design, implement, validate, deploy, ramp up)
Work with Steelwedge implementation partners (where applicable) to appropriately scope and staff the projects
Team with Project Manager(s) to define and track the project budget, costs and pricing estimates; Responsible for project profitability and all decisions related to such including change orders and new services
Negotiates Statements of Work and Change Requests (commercial aspects) with customer
Proactive and detailed knowledge of the technical and business issues and ability to come up with solutions that are in the best interests of all parties
Coordination with all Steelwedge functional teams: Customer Support, Product Development, Product Management, Sales, Finance to ensure customer success
Work with sales teams to scope and propose project approaches, scope and estimates
Set and manage career development for team members
Qualifications:
Ability to manage expectations with project team and customer executives/sponsors
Self-starter, self-motivated, sense of urgency, well organized, ability to achieve goals, ability to focus and pay attention to detail
Must have excellent technical, oral and writing skills as well as strong interpersonal and management skills
Proven ability to make sound business decisions
Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups in a business setting
Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds
Team player with positive attitude
Good presentation and negotiating skills
Experience working with VP and C level customer contacts
Solid program management experience, especially with complex enterprise software, such as SAP, i2, JDA, Supply Chain expertise required, S&OP, demand planning and supply planning desired
?Big-5? or large consulting organization experience (i.e. Accenture, IBM Global Services)
Minimum five years of experience selling and managing multimillion dollar projects (client references required)
Minimum ten years experience implementing and/or automating business processes
BS in Supply Chain, Operations Research, Computer Sciences, Engineering or other technical discipline; MS or MBA preferred
Experience with web-based technologies (e.g. HTML, XML, web servers, application servers)
Ability to travel in the US, Europe and AsiaPAC but primarily in Europe
