The Role ? Senior Director, Molecular Diagnostics and Healthcare
Partnering with cross-functional areas that include marketing, product development, R&D, global field sales and corporate inside sales, you design forward-thinking business strategies, finely managing the execution of go-to market plans in order to grow revenue and implementing development activities that resonate with clinical labs, molecular diagnostic providers and other direct customer segments. Working with the Promega Corporate Development team, you identify and secure large IVD (>$1M) contract manufacturing opportunities with molecular diagnostic manufacturers and suppliers, translating your extensive industry network and solid rapport into revenue opportunities. As you identify and champion opportunities, you ensure R&D has access to customer-based insights and relevant market data in order to prioritize and develop new products with maximum commercial and revenue potential.
A keen financial and risk analyst, you seem to possess an innate ability to accurately estimate partners? needs and goals, negotiate and close agreements. You expertly manage and coordinate the financials and fiscal operations of your product families and customer segments, administering capital and operating budgets, establishing proven fiscal controls and communicating the business unit?s financial contributions to inform ongoing strategic planning. You are an exceptional communicator and a respected leader able to manage the varying needs of your strategic and tactical marketing and outside and inside sales staffs. Familiar with GMP manufacturing QA and regulatory requirements, you have a history of ethical and responsible business practices that meet all industry legal and regulatory requirements.
? BS in Life Sciences; MBA or MS preferred
? At least 7 years of progressive senior leadership experience in business development, operations, marketing or sales management in Molecular Diagnostics
? Persuasive professional communicator at all levels?customer, employee, executive leadership and market influencers?with global industry and C-suite executive contacts
? Exceptional analytic and decision-making skills, with proven ability to identify business issues, provide strategic and tactical framework, and analyze relevant financials
? Negotiation and contract development experience
? Ability to travel internationally and domestically approximately 30% of the time, and occasionally provide strategic and tactical guidance to Promega?s Shanghai Molecular Diagnostic Products subsidiary
? Previous leadership experience in global molecular diagnostics and/or experience in the development and commercialization of FDA-approved IVD products preferred
