Job Description




The Senior Director of Engineering, Memory Platform Products will:

Be responsible for memory interface design validation, to assure compliance to product specifications, industry standards, application requirements, and system platform operating environments.
Proactively engage with customers in designing Inphi products into their modules and systems, and efficiently support their product introduction and productization.
Establish the center of technical excellence for Inphi memory platform, through in-depth technical understanding of Inphi server and storage products, their unique features, and their applications.
Have responsibilities including: definition and development of design kits in support of design wins and evaluation boards in support of standard compliance qualification; performing bench/lab measurements for competitive analysis; and assisting customers with their module/system designs and production ramp.
When necessary, gather customer needs, advanced product requirements, and competitive data. Assist marketing in the definition of new products and its product differentiation.
Be required to travel some in support of marketing and sales efforts.

Requirements




The Senior Director of Engineering, Memory Platform Products should have:

BSEE or MSEE with 12+ years of related industry experience in memory modules design, printed circuit board design, and preferably with system platform design at 1.6Gbps+ data rate. Experience and familiarity with IC design techniques, IC assembly processes, semiconductor physics, and failure analysis also required.
Demonstrated managerial and leadership skills, in managing engineering teams and in leading product development and productization.
Strong understanding of fundamentals of advanced memory products and its applications, e.g. DDR memory devices in 3x nm process node;
Solid experience with designing high-speed, high-density low-cost circuit boards
Hands on design/application experience with memory modules, such as DIMM.
Hands-on lab experience with scopes, logic analyzers, and other high speed test equipment such as ATE, with strong debugging and troubleshooting skill.
Existing relationships with top memory manufacturers and/or system OEMs
