? Act as chief of staff for Sr. VP of sales and marketing. Develop agendas, objectives, and business processes to enhance the effectiveness of the sales and marketing organization in partnership with senior sales executives.
? Own worldwide revenue forecasting. Develop highly accurate forecasts and real time monitoring. Work with sales and manufacturing to optimize mix and performance to targets as appropriate.
? Manage all data requirements and tracking of activities such as samples, follow up on lead generation, etc. Ensures sales reports and other internal intelligence is provided to the sales organization. Develops new reporting tools as needed. Coordinates with sales leadership and other stakeholders to lead efficient and accurate sales force reporting initiatives.
? Provide timely guidance to manufacturing operations on volume and mix. Play point for Sales and Marketing on all partnership with Manufacturing Operations.
? Partner with IT to develop effective and efficient information systems for the sales and marketing organization. Track critical data and ensure data quality while minimizing the administrative burden on field organization.
? Sales and marketing analytics. Perform data analysis on pricing, promotions, sales strategies, and marketing programs. Provide competitive analysis and coordinate and consolidate competitive intelligence across sales and marketing organization.
? In conjunction with Sales Management and HR, develop, implement and manage the sales compensation program(s) covering all geographies and sales motions. Monitor performance against quota, resolve disputes and initiate corrective action where appropriate.
? Develop a model for consistent measurement of performance against quota based on sales motion, implement and monitor
? Develop sales incentive schemes (spiffs, contests) to meet short term requirements of the business
? Develop reward structures (100% club, Presidents Club) to reward high achievers within the sales organization
? Establish regular communication channels for the sales force; organize and conduct sales meetings as appropriate
? Administer marketing development fund programs with customers to ensure objectives are met (training, 3rd party commissions, and inventory and sell thru data is collected accurately and timely)
? Manage the sales support staff including admins, phone support, energy rebate programs, etc
? Manage the sales and marketing budgets
? Working closely with sales leadership and Human Resources, establishes a sales force training plan focused on developing and reinforcing critical sales competencies. Prioritizes training objectives for selling, sales management, and sales support roles. Oversees the delivery of field and HQ training to sales, sales management, and sales support personnel.
Experience and Skills:
Experience in Sales and Marketing organizations in high growth technology companies
? Minimum five years in a sales operations, business planning, or sales support management role.
? Sales or sales management experience in a business-to-business sales environment; preferably in a growth industry or start-up.
? Experience successfully managing analytically rigorous corporate initiatives.
? 3+ years direct supervision experience
