Organizing and managing research projects including substantive contribution to study protocols and reports, arranging and attendance at project meetings and traveling to client sites as needed. Assist in preparation of abstracts, manuscripts and oral presentations along with other related study documents.
Perform critical, systematic literature review and provide summaries as needed
Assist in preparation of abstracts, manuscripts and oral presentations, including development of slides and posters for presentation of project results at regional and national meetings
Drafting significant sections of study protocols, reports, and other client facing documents.
Organize and help manage research projects
Review and provide relevant epidemiological and project-specific comments to statistical analysis plans
Review and provide input for scientific tasks including CRF/eCRF development, form previews and other ad hoc project tasks (e.g., regulatory responses, slide deck development)
May serve as project manager for Scientific Affairs-based projects
Actively participate in client-facing project meetings and be a recognized member of the project team
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Sound methodological training and an interest in designing, conducting and analyzing studies that require data collection
Strong written and verbal communication skills (medical writing experience a plus)
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks
Excellent technical, analytical, computer, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as a contributing team member
Microsoft Office including PowerPoint and Excel required; knowledge of SAS preferred
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelors Degree required, Masters Degree in public health, epidemiology or a relevant scientific field preferred
Three (3) or more years biopharmaceutical industry experience
Equivalent combination of education, training and work experience may be considered
Extensive use of keyboard requiring repetitive motion of fingers.
Extensive use of telephone and face-to-face communication requiring accurate perception of speech.
Regular sitting for extended periods of time.
May require occasional travel.
