Summary:
Financial business partner to the Worldwide Sales organization:
Provide key sales results, analysis and metrics to the Worldwide Sales organization
Development/management of the client?s financial forecasts/plans and analysis of performance against actual results
Support Booking, Revenue, and Expense performance reporting and analysis.
Client specific decision support (i.e., business cases or evaluation of courses of action)
Capture and measure the operational drivers impacting the financial performance of the client, including evaluation/monitoring of spending, hiring and other activities within the client?s organization.
Qualification Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA or CPA desirable. Complementary majors with appropriate financial experience will be considered.
Experience:
2-5 years experience in Finance.
Ability to demonstrate successful experience interacting with and providing value added financial analytics to line management and superior forecast/plan accuracy.
Skills:
- Ability to work effectively with others in a complex, fast-paced organization
- Possess good oral and written communication, and presentation skills
- General knowledge of accounting principles
- General technical knowledge of budgeting, cash management and financial analysis processes
- Expertise in Excel (pivot tables), knowledge of Access and other Microsoft Office applications preferred.
- Experience with Oracle and Hyperion (or similar) is desirable
Ability to professionally handle confidential information
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Developing plans and forecasts for supported organization(s).:
o Interact with client organization to develop understanding & financial quantification of the client?s activities
o Leverage appropriate forecast techniques to ensure high level of forecast accuracy
o Advocate the client?s objectives and priorities for appropriate resource allocation
- Day to day guidance and oversight
o Monitor, evaluate/rationalize and approve all purchasing, resource/staffing and or other activities within the context of the client?s plans/forecasts/priorities.
- Performance measurement & analysis
o Compile monthly financial results and related drivers; identify and analyze trends, and standardize reporting.
o Interact regularly/frequently with department managers to review results and develop forecasting data
o Act as liaison to the client?s organization on all financial issues; including ad-hoc analyses.
- Process Improvement:
o Continually work to improve internal financial processes that can improve the performance/efficiency/value of the client?s organization to SafeNet
