Sr. Financial Analyst Vertafore, Inc.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing world class financial planning, analysis and reporting in support of both consolidated corporate reporting and corporate business units. This position will be one of the primary finance partners to corporate business leaders by providing strategic financial and analytical support.

Budgeting and Forecasting
Leads budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for supported groups.
Transforms financial data into concise and accurate financial information.
Prepares and manages annual budgets, monthly forecasts of revenue and expenses, capital, and cash flows.
Manages short and long-range financial planning and capital forecasting.
Analysis
Manages and/or conducts financial analysis (revenue, cost, profit, cash flow, balance sheet, pricing).
Works with the Finance team and Executives to evaluate business performance from both a strategic and financial perspective.
Reviews and explains significant account variances when comparing actual, budgets, and forecasts.
Financial Operations
Provides finance support for the development of new tools and methods to support internal customers.
Ensures compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
Assists the Finance team in formulating and implementing new financial systems, tools, and methods.
Translates planning guidelines from Corporate Finance to specific performance objectives.
Performance Management
Prepare monthly variance analysis, operating statistics, and presentation material.
Provide decision-making support and advice to business partners, based on sound financial planning and analysis, identifying operational and product trends and using this knowledge to aid in the maximization of company revenue and profit.
Review reports on budget related issues and special projects.
Works with department managers to develop various monthly and annual budget presentations.
Performs trend analysis with respect to key metrics.
Ensures that capital investments are continually reassessed in terms of the financial impact.
Provides both financial and non-financial reporting to ensure that managers have valid, current information to enable both strong financial ownership and appropriate inputs to the decision-making processes.
QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS
Professional and Technical
4+ years of finance experience, preferably in a high growth, fast-paced technology company.
Must be able to impact, and influence business leaders by utilizing financial expertise, and understanding of the business.
Must have a ?roll up your sleeves? approach, be highly analytical and forward thinking. This is a role that requires resourcefulness, strategic thinking and exceptional leadership skills to add value to the short and long term business planning aspects of the company as part of the senior leadership team.
Must be able to independently plan and conduct non-routine financial analysis/reporting projects and consult effectively on highly technical projects.
Highly analytical, rigorous, and quantitative individual. Comfortable working in a growing and changing organization.
Ability to manage multiple initiatives and competing priorities.
Strong written and oral communication, problem solving and analytical skills, as well as strong attention to detail. A person who can be effective and persuasive across multiple disciplines and across all levels of the company. Must be a strong team player.
A polished professional comfortable interacting with senior executives. A track record of success functioning as a partner to the various senior executives.
Strong technical skills including advanced knowledge of Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
General Business
Understanding of general business issues including external factors that impact the business and industry.
Demonstrated ability to follow sound business ethics when executing job responsibilities to build and maintain management confidence.
Education Requirements
Bachelor?s Degree in finance, accounting, or related field is required.
MBA is preferred.
