Sr Financial Analyst International Catastrophe Insurance
Responsible for budgeting, forecasting, data gathering, analysis, reporting and other projects as assigned.
Lead the Paraline Budgeting process.
Identify, develop and maintain the budgeting tools.
Complete the monthly reporting packages for internal and external customers.
Complete the quarterly board packages.
Analyze business trends and implement appropriate programs.
Provides analytical and interpretive skills to identify business improvement needs and develop and implement solutions.
Develops successful long and short-range business plans that define overall direction, objectives, key business strategies, and implementation plans.
Maintain financial and cash forecasts.
Assist with due diligence and modeling for M&A activity.
Data Gathering, Analysis and Reporting
Serves as a liaison between Finance and business leaders and analysts.
Prepares budgets, reviews budget proposals, and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification.
Prepares cash flow projections.
Responsible for gathering data from various sources, including electronic databases, files, market, and identifying business, economic and industry trends. Complies information and creates reports as required.
Maintains electronic databases to identify trends.
Reviews and analyzes ICAT finance and accounting files.
Data Analysis, Interpretation and Reporting
Analyzes and reports on business performance; provides business solutions, provides forecasting and planning services to business leaders.
Reports operating results and explains significant variances from plan.
Assists the business in developing new business initiative financial plans.
Reports on new business initiatives against plan.
Responsible for organizing and interpreting the data collected from various sources and identifying meaningful trends.
Determines implication trends may have on the viability of ICAT?s products, short-term and long-term strategic plans. Prepares and presents regular and periodic reports.
Develops and manages projects. Responsible for defining project scope, resources and achieving deliverables on time and within budget.
Participates on cross-functional teams.
Leadership and Supervision
Provides technical leadership and managerial direction to designated personnel.
Works collaboratively with all ICAT personnel and business partners.
Develops and maintain effective working relationships with all ICAT personnel, business partners, and vendors.
Provide effective leadership to personnel to ensure a complete understanding of ICAT objectives, to maintain a positive work environment and a high level of morale.
Other duties as assigned.
Works under the direct supervision of the Chief Financial Officer.

Minimum 5+ years of business management experience.
5+ years experience as financial analyst, business consultant or related field in insurance, financial services or related industry professional liability insurance or related industry or equivalent education.
5+ years financial accounting or related experience.
BA degree in business or related field required.
Licenses or Designations
CPA a plus.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, with strong Excel skills.
Knowledge of Dynamics GP or a similar GL software package.
Knowledge of database software a plus.
Physical Work Demands
Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.
Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis.
Able to perform general office administrative activities: copying, filing, delivering and using the telephone.
Able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Mental Work Demands
Regular and on-time attendance.
Hours regularly exceed 40 hours per week.
Occasional travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required.
