Sr. Hardware Engineer RGB Networks
The successful candidate will have a broad experience in board design/architecture as well as FPGA design and verification. Candidate should be capable of understanding the system-wide ramifications of various architecture options and has participated in the bring-up of new systems. As a senior member of the hardware team, this engineer will work with cross-functional teams and may act as technical lead.
Responsibilities include:
Design and development of board/FPGA from conception through production in support of RGB's line of video processing products
Coordination and leadership to drive multidisciplinary projects to completion
Board level responsibilities include:
Schematic capture for high-speed digital circuit boards (ORCAD experience is a plus)
Oversight of PCB layout - strong understanding of transmission lines, PCB stackups and Fab/Assy processes required
Bring-up and debug of board and multi-board systems
Design for manufacturing and design for test
FPGA responsibilities include:
Chip level architecture/module level design/implementation
Synthesis/timing analysis closure
Work closely with verification team (experience with Constraint-based Random Verification is a plus)
Requirements include:
BSEE required, MS preferred
8+ years hardware (board/FPGA) design experience for complex video or networking related products
Experience with high-speed interfaces (PCB as well as chip level considerations)
PCB timing/layout/routing/signal integrity
FPGA design for timing/synthesis/placement/touting
Experience with a majority of the following: XAUI, GigE, S/XGMII, PCIe, DDR2/3, I2C, SPI, AES, DES, MPEG-2 TS, MPEG-2, H.264
Strong bring-up and debug experience
Team or project lead experience a plus
Strong scripting skills a plus
Excellent teamwork; must work with cross-functional teams ? software, diagnostics, systems
Excellent written and oral communication skills
