The Role:
The Senior Human Resources Director will be leading and managing all areas of human resources particularly in organizational design, talent management, employee engagement, total rewards, training and learning, and employee communications. This leader will very closely partner with the executive team on the people strategy and will find creative ways to promote and encourage a high performing, dynamic company culture by translating the vision for each employee group, clarifying roles and goals, and assisting the new leadership with internal communications. The person in this role will upgrade the HR function by adding strategic value across the business and by proactively designing innovative and scalable HR programs.
The Senior Human Resources Director will report to Blurb?s Chief Financial Officer and manage Blurb?s HR coordinator.
Responsibilities:
Champion, communicate, and cultivate Blurb?s high performing and engaging culture in partnership with the executive team
Proactively support leadership on all people-related issues particularly in the areas of communications, performance management and employee relations
Contribute to the business strategy by planning, developing, and implementing HR initiatives that increase the productivity, competence, and effectiveness of the organization
Scale and improve the existing HR infrastructure to support international expansion and accommodate headcount growth
Upgrade talent management and retention programs and in particular implement a compelling performance management system
Manage compensation and benefits ensuring competitiveness and alignment with the business strategy and corporate culture
Lead talent acquisition, articulating the employment branding strategy globally and implementing pragmatic and innovative programs that attract and retain top talent
Requirements:
Broad and deep experience as an HR generalist with a particular emphasis on organizational design and talent management
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with a proven history of building effective relationships at all levels
Ability to partner, influence, and provide proactive consultation and solutions to senior management
A business partner mentality with exceptional business acumen and track record of delivering business impacts
Expertise in developing and delivering talent management programs including in the areas of performance management, employment branding, retention, training and development, and succession planning
A background managing compensation and benefits in a competitive environment
Current knowledge of employment laws and regulations, compensation and benefit laws, regulations and reporting requirements and state/local employment laws
International experience is a plus
Exposure to growth and rapidly changing, nimble environments is a plus.

Ingenuity, presence, business acumen and excellent communication and relationship skills are all critical to succeed as the Senior Human Resources Director at Blurb.
Candidates will possess a BA/BS in Business Administration or a related field. An MBA, MS in HR or OD, or similar area is preferred.
