MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates recruitment activities
Responds to questions from employees and managers on staffing matters
Finalizes position descriptions
Develops and distributes vacancy announcements via Monster's automated hiring systems
Assists staff in preparing crediting plans
Assists staff in conducting operational classification, position management program reviews, and evaluation activities
Assists staff in analyzing and writing position descriptions and conducting individual desk audits
Logs applicants into the applicant tracking system
Screens applicants to determine basic qualifications
Prepares selection certificates
Prepares offer of employment letters
Notifies non-selected applicants
Closes merit promotion cases
Bachelors Degree + 6 years experience
Hand's on experience using automated tool for staffing ( QuickHire,and/or Monster)
Practical experience in Title 5 recruitment for competitive service and/or excepted service
PREFERABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Experience recruiting ST and DEU positions
Experience making Fair Labor Standards Act determinations
Experience conducting reorganization/position management studies
Experience with pay banding or alternate classification systems
