Sr. Imaging Engineer Skybox Imaging

The Image Quality Engineering team is seeking an exceptional individual to lead algorithm development for our camera and image processing system. You will be responsible for tools, analysis and metrics that will help analyze and tune image quality in simulation, lab characterization and in-flight operation of a complete imaging chain. The scope of the position includes color science, optics, sensor performance, image reconstruction, photographic rendering and video.
Responsibilities:
? Develop image analysis software
? Develop tools for optimizing complex, interdependent system variables
? Develop metrics for optimizing performance/cost trade-offs
? Interface with diverse system models including optics, sensor, image processing and human vision.
? Help validate spacecraft image quality
? Integrate competitive intelligence into real-time system control
Qualifications:
? Ph.D. in Physics, Mathematics, Optics or Electrical Engineering.
? 3-5 years imaging experience with camera systems
? Experience with advanced algorithms development, color science and analysis
? Strong Matlab experience
? Must be able to clearly communicate across diverse engineering groups
? Strong knowledge of psycho-visual analysis and methodologies
? Experience managing large amounts of test data
Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.
