We?re looking for a Senior Information Architect to define and drive the workflow and interaction design for applications built on our Amalga enterprise platform.
Essential Responsibilities:
? Work hand-in-hand with Program Managers, Product Management, User Researchers, Interaction Designers and Visual Designers to define and drive the user experience requirements for our Amalga product, from feature and product definition through product release
? Collaborate with Program Managers and Researchers to define use cases and scenarios
? Collaborate with and effectively communicate across a diverse cross-functional and cross-discipline team
? Work with Program Managers to ensure proper UX milestones and deliverables are noted throughout the release life-cycle
? Create work flow diagrams, product and site architectures, wireframes, and navigation system which result in consistent and usable interaction patterns across diverse user interfaces
? Collaborate with User Researchers on UX test plans, methodologies, and protocols to develop low-fidelity prototypes when needed
? Utilize qualitative and quantitative data to help define and defend UI decisions
? Present progress to core team and to senior and executive management
Basic Qualifications/Requirements:
? 4 years' experience designing complex data driven web- and non-web-based applications
? Expert level hands-on software experience with Visio and Office Suite
? Intermediate level hands-on experience with: Adobe Suite (Fireworks, Photoshop, etc.), and Expressions Blend
? Working knowledge of designing within code constraints and a solid understanding of CSS, HTML, Silverlight, etc.
? Demonstrated experience designing for highly complex data-driven software applications
? Create the UX for applications by developing, user scenarios, conceptual models, product and site architectures (site maps), work flow diagrams, and wireframes for several software applications
? Must be able to thrive in ambiguous cultures by being proactive and creating flexible solutions and able to follow user-centered design best practices and techniques.
? Successful candidate will have enthusiasm and energy to work in a start-up environment, and eager to deliver in agile development release cycles
? Strong positive track record of delivering on time and releasing successful products under tight timelines
? Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) and drive hard UX decisions across cross-functional teams
? Strong portfolio demonstrating past relevant projects is required
? BS degree in Computer Science, HCI, or equivalent experience required
Preferred Qualifications:
? Experience designing for SharePoint and Web
? Hands-on HTML, JavaScript, CSS and XAML skills
? Ability to develop prototypes for user research and proof-of-concept designs
? Experience designing software for the Healthcare Industry
