The Sr. Internal Application Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining applications and systems responsible for all operational aspects of the Gilt City business, including order processing, financial and sales reporting.Responsibilities
Conceptualize, design and implement administrative application features of Gilt City
Conceptualize, design and implement application features to be used by Gilt City?s business partners
Interface with external developers and technical resources to build and maintain systems integration interfaces with external partners
Interface with engineering teams around the larger Gilt organization
Interface with other teams on a daily basis, including account management, marketing, finance and customer service
Qualifications
4+ years solid experience using Java
3 years experience using Ruby on Rails (a plus)
Experience in fast-paced, start-up environments where engineers play a direct role in determining product requirements
Experience developing internal business applications (a plus)
Systems integration experience (a plus)
Experience with accounting, financial reporting (a plus)
Experience with Scala (desired)
BS in Computer Science (or related field) or comparable work experience
