Job Summary:
The Senior Business Analyst works as a liaison between the business units and IT to elicit and document requirements and then drive delivery of solutions to meet the company?s business goals and objectives. The Senior Business Analyst is often looked upon as a primary knowledge worker within the company, possessing an in-depth understanding of many of the company?s day-to-day business operations.
Responsibilities include:
Developing standard templates and processes for requirements gathering and documentation
Interacting with business owners and key stakeholders to understand their needs and what system changes are required to support those needs
Documenting business requirements and process flows through means such as functional requirements specifications, use cases, and user interface mockups
Developing requirements specifications that are comprehensive in coverage and understandable by both business and technical audiences
Working directly with the developers to turn the business requirements into technical requirements
Managing multiple projects and project plans
Mentoring less-experienced business analysts on the team
Communication to impacted business areas
Testing and verification of the implemented requirements, either directly or working with the QA team
Training system users on new functionality
Issue tracking and oversight to resolution
Driving projects from initial concept through system acceptance and post implementation support
Requirements include:
Minimum of 2 years experience as a business analyst
B.S. degree preferably in a technical discipline (may substitute 3-5 years support in a healthcare environment or business analyst role).
Information Technology technical experience to work cohesively with the developers
SQL skills and demonstrated experience in data modeling are preferred
Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
Ability to understand the healthcare business from operational, financial, and technical view points
Microsoft Project skills
