Sr. Linux Desktop Support Engineer Mirantis

Build out IT infrastructure for Mirantis? US operations to company specifications
Provide computer, network and software support to the end-user community via telephone, email, remote-access, or in-person.
Install application software based on corporate standards and end-user requirements.
Support IT infrastructure for the U.S. office
Build and maintain relationships with US-based vendors
Communicate with international engineering teams and global IT team based oversea
Support and develop IT services with the global IT team
Knowledge and experience in administration Linux (preferably RPM-based distros, CentOS, Red Hat, Fedora) and Linux-based services ( LDAP, DNS, DHCP, MySQL, Puppet, etc.)
Experience in network design and setup. Familiar with business level router configuration. Knowledge in CISCO, HP, and Vyatta network equipment would be a plus.
Troubleshooting skill in fixing computer hardware and software issues.
Knowledge and experience in virtualization systems - KVM/Xen/OpenVZ/VMWare ( preferably KVM)
Knowledge and basic concepts understanding of MS Windows Active Directory and LDAP directory services
Understanding of modern Intel-based servers architecture, experience in server configuration and optimization
Familiarity with VOIP technologies, experience with Asterisk or similar open-source solutions
Understanding of modern IP networking technologies
Knowledge of 1-2 scripting languages (Perl, Bash, Python, etc.), experience in creating and reading scripts.
