Data Analytics plays a key role within Adknowledge and our vision is to ?to provide a central information repository to generate value in the form of Gross Profit across the organization,? with an overall motto of ?Test, Learn, and Evolve.?
The Analytics department has a strong technology infrastructure, consisting wholly of proprietary data developed for the following functions:
Innovation through cutting edge technologies, enhancing optimizations for the channels, and improving algorithmic approaches.
Drive differentiation for Adknowledge by collecting and leveraging proprietary cross channel data.
Have a material impact to Gross Profit for channel focused product improvements.
Improving cross channel collaboration to move the business forward and provide value with efficient implementation cycles between the Channels and Analytics department.
The ML team is responsible for implementing algorithms at scale by building channel specific recommendation engines. The ML Team needs to have a solid understanding of machine learning classification and clustering techniques; as well as, be A+ JAVA programmers.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Machine Learning Scientists are instrumental in driving analytic changes with substantial implications for Adknowledge's revenue. Primary duties include:
Analysis: Work alongside quantitative analysts to simulate and experimentally test economic relationships within a very large dataset of consumer behavior in the online marketing industry
Solutions: Translate learnings from simulations and analyses into system concepts, and prototype new computer algorithms that form the core of behavior-targeted analytic products, which increase the effectiveness of real-time ad selection and delivery systems
Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize our proprietary recommendation systems to increase revenue across multiple channels of business.
Implementation: Implement efficient configurable machine learning algorithms, and the data pipelines to support them, frequently using Java, SQL, and scripting languages. Collaborate closely with statisticians in the department to scale algorithms and launch high-availability services.
Additional duties include:
Understand business operations and industry trends
Stay well-informed of current research in the area of state-of-the-art recommender systems
CANDIDATE OVERVIEW
The successful candidate will be an inspiring and confident leader with at least:
Minimum 2+ years' industry experience maintaining a code base written in a high-level object-oriented language
Formal studies or industry experience in distributed computing (e.g. MapReduce, Hadoop, AWS, DHTs, etc) and/or parallel programming
Industry experience working with very large datasets
Familiarity with machine learning, data mining, recommendation systems, predictive modeling, information retrieval
Strong background in Math and Statistics
Additional desirable experience areas which contribute key advantages to the team are:
Familiarity with data visualization techniques and software
Additional work experience or academic focus in graph analysis, collaborative filtering, probabilistic algorithms, operations research, or demographic analysis
