Senior Maintenance Mechanic- Night Shift
Summary of Duties:
The Sr. Mechanical Mechanic is responsible for ensuring that the plant?s operational equipment remains safe, reliable, and properly maintained to support necessary production targets for customer satisfaction and within delivery guidelines.
? Coordinates and performs preventative maintenance on instrument and electrical (I&E) equipment
according to schedule.
? Understands wiring diagrams, piping and instrument diagrams (P&ID?s), process flow sheets, schematics, technical manuals, etc.
? Marks-up layouts, P&ID?s and one-lines for update by drafting.
? Utilizes the Management of Change (MOC) process for documenting and acknowledging changes to procedures, equipment, etc.
? Works with construction representative and guides construction contractors.
? Interfaces frequently with operators to understand and respond to maintenance issues.
? Supports reliability effort by leading small projects, identifying reliability problems and serving on investigation teams.
? Supports project teams with constructability, maintainability and spare parts input to layout and equipment design.
? Member of night shift team (6 p.m. - 6 a.m.) but also available to be on-call to respond to plant problems.
? Attends scheduled maintenance team meetings and trainings.
? Works safely and follow implemented safety policies of the plant (e.g. PPE, safe work permits, lock-out tag-out).
? Maintains good housekeeping in daily work area and within the common maintenance shops and fabrication areas.
?Set-up, calibration, testing, and repair of all types of controls and instruments with pneumatic, electrical and electronic variables
?Maintenance and troubleshooting o equipment (480VAC and lower)
?Pipefitting (threaded, welded, tubing), Welding, Equipment setting and alignment, Mechanical repair of pumps, valves, etc.
Qualifications:Experience & Education:
? Electrician Certification in RI
? At least 5 years in a similar role in a production environment, pipefitting experience required. Prior work history within a process chemical manufacturing environment preferred.
? High School diploma or equivalent required, advanced education preferred.
? Excellent communication skills required. Must be able to communicate in verbal and written English.
? Must be computer literate and able to become proficient with Company-specific programs.
