Sr. Manager/Associate Director - Financial Planning & Reporting ChemoCentryx, Inc.
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED In this position you will be responsible for all financial planning and analysis, reporting and compliance functions, including but not limited to, internal financial and SEC regulatory reporting. Responsibilities also include:
External financial reporting, including quarterly and annual regulatory filings and other required filings with the SEC.
Manage the rollout of XBRL concurrent filing, including taxonomy, core financials, block tagging and detail footnote tagging, when applicable.
Implement and sustain Company?s Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 compliance efforts, including the identification, evaluation, design and documentation of the Company?s control environment and related controls test plan by working in concert with IT.
Responsibility for all financial planning and analysis, including development of annual budgets, financial forecasts and long term financial plans. Collaborate with cross functional departments to develop financial plans.
Keep abreast of US GAAP pronouncements and emerging issues.
Contribute to the monthly close process.
Manage clinical trial accruals for all clinical operations.
Position requires a BA/BS in Accounting/Finance with a minimum of 5 years related financial accounting experience. CPA with "big four" experience and/or public biotechnology or biopharmaceutical company experience required. Energetic, flexible team player and hands-on leader with the ability to manage in a dynamic environment. Diplomatic yet effective in garnering respect and cooperation from management of other functional areas. Strong problem solving skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Thorough understanding of technical accounting pronouncements, particularly as they relate to revenue recognition and stock option accounting. Proficient with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Great Plains and Equity Edge.
