2U is looking for a data-driven online advertising leader with a passion for the education space. The Sr. Manager, Online Marketing is a key player in the Marketing & Analytics team. This position is responsible for the direct response marketing initiatives and management of 2U's online advertising program, and developing a growing team of online advertising analysts.
The Sr. Manager, Online Marketing will develop the online advertising strategy to grow our inbound inquiries worldwide via online marketing programs such as search, display advertising, network affiliate marketing, social marketing, mobile marketing and strategic partnerships. The Sr. Manager, Online Marketing will have regular interaction with senior leadership across 2U as well as working hands-on with Marketing Operations to guide and execute findings into strategic and tactical recommendations. This individual will have significant budget responsibility for the online advertising channel. The online marketing team is a critical function, central to the strategic objectives of the business.
Create, execute & optimize all strategic and tactical elements of a portfolio of online advertising campaigns to achieve student goals.
Direct budget management and ROI responsibility.
Deliver a data-driven approach to online advertising and manage budget forecasting and performance using BI tools, pivot tables, etc.
Profitably grow existing lead gen/partner relationships. Identify and evaluate new opportunities.
Coach analysts to operate in a test-and-learn, matrix environment to continuously build and improve the online advertising programs and campaigns.
Project manage complex technology platform and program integrations. (e.g. re-targeting display advertising platforms, real-time bidding platforms, product API integrations, analytics packages, etc...)
Manage at least one direct report.
Track performance metrics, report development and analytics daily and resolve any issues.
Things That Should Be in Your Background:
Bachelor?s degree required.
Minimum 4-6 years progressive marketing experience; 3+ years in online advertising, ideally in a B2C environment. Expertise in direct response marketing required. Expertise in online lead generation or Online Education space is a plus.
Previous budget management experience.
Strong data evaluation skills, with the ability to extract and interpret data from various sources.
Project management and team leadership experience in a matrix environment.
Strong written, verbal & interpersonal communication skills.
Vendor management experience
Proven success using testing to optimize existing marketing efforts. Ability to create valid, non-biased A/B tests.
