Reporting to the VP Marketing, this position owns marketing responsibility for Flurry Analytics, the industry-leading mobile application analytics solution, now with over 70,000 companies using the service across more than 200,000 apps. This position also will have ownership of a soon-to-be-announced service targeting a related audience. As Product Marketing Director, you will be responsible for all outbound and inbound marketing activities for your products. You will create acquisition and retention strategies, determine the metrics for success and drive execution to achieve those. You will be an expert at crafting compelling positioning and messaging, and then express these powerfully through any appropriate assets, sales collateral or marketing programs. In partnership with product management, you will create competitive analyses, codify market requirements and drive marketing research that surfaces customer needs. You?ll conceive and develop innovative marketing programs that drive demand. You will be the expert in how customers use your products, their needs and their decision making process for adoption and/or purchase.
Create marketing strategy and drive execution against KPIs you recommended
Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates your products in the market
Sales enablement ? communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of your products
Product launch ? plan the launch and promotion of new products and features, and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan
Market intelligence ? be the expert on your customers, how they choose a service provider and their selection criteria; be the expert on your competition and how to crush them
Demand generation ? develop the strategy and manage the marketing programs that drive demand for your products
Customer loyalty and retention ? drive the creation of key marketing assets that increase new onboarding success of new customers and increased depth of use for existing customers
8+ years of software product marketing experience with at least 2 years experience in a field facing role
Bachelor?s in business, marketing or relevant field, MBA strongly preferred
Track record of metrics driven success
Proof of ability to generate compelling marketing assets including white papers, sales collateral and go-to-market launch assets, etc.
Very strong writing skills, attention to detail and an eye for quality.
Ability to work in teams, influence and disagree agreeably with management, colleagues and third parties.
