THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Etsy is looking for a creative, authentic and experienced communications specialist to support our senior leadership team and partner with HR and our Values & Impact group. Over the last eight years, we?ve grown rapidly to over 450 employees globally. As the Senior Manager for Internal Communications, you?ll help ensure we navigate growth and organizational change while keeping our staff informed, aligned and inspired. This full-time position reports to the Communications Director and is based in Brooklyn, NY.

Communications is an interdisciplinary team responsible for public relations, editorial, brand copywriting, social media, and advocacy as well as internal comms. Our mission is to amplify the story of Etsy ? the company, the marketplace and the movement.
About the Job
The Senior Manager for Internal Communications will establish a global internal communications practice. They are a practitioner-manager who can map out strategy and roll their sleeves up to execute.
Partner with the senior leadership team, HR and Values & Impact to communicate company vision, values, strategy and top priorities, as well as reorganizations, staff changes and crisis coordination.
Develop voice and key messages guidelines.
Outline and execute a plan to strengthen our internal communications channels.
Devise a model for feedback on internal communications and measurement against goals.
Spearhead the agenda, content creation and presentation training for regular company meetings (lovingly called Y?All Hands, complete with house band).
Program IdeaCraft, our occasional in-house speaker series.
Ensure consistency across company communications from all authors and with external communications.
Write and edit communications of all kinds.
Recruit and direct additional internal communications staff.

You will be successful in this role if you:
Have at least 8 years of progressive management experience in communications, preferably in a fast-growing environment
Bring gravitas and can quickly establish trust to counsel executive leaders
Have experience in a multi-national environment
Write articulately, clearly and without jargon
Have presentation training experience
Have proficiency with wide range of communications tools, including video, wikis and intranets.
Pay keen attention to how we communicate with buyers, sellers, investors and our local community stakeholders
Keep your cool and sense of humor under pressure
