Sr. Manager, Quality Assurance Jawbone
Job Description Position: Sr. Quality Assurance Manager Summary: The Sr. Quality Assurance Manager role is a Sunnyvale, CA based opportunity for an outstanding Quality Professional. The Sr. Quality Manager will be focused on integrating Quality thinking and processes across all Jawbone organizations that impact our customers directly or indirectly. This role works closely with the New Product Development team throughout the product development cycle. This position reports to the Executive Director of Quality & Reliability. Essential Functions:
Manage a team of Product Quality Engineers and Failure Analysis Technicians.
Apply data driven decision-making skills to address strategic and day-to-day tactical issues relative to product quality and reliability.
Drive the development, deployment and adoption of Quality Assurance and Control processes required to maintain or exceed Jawbone brand standards of quality throughout the supply chain.
Collaborate with Jawbone cross-functional teams to ingrain and create a culture of quality that aligns with Jawbone quality and reliability standards.
Work closely and effectively with Jawbone ODM partners based in China and Jawbone managed facilities based in Mexico.
Manage the development and reporting of key quality metrics on a periodic basis.
Ensure that quality programs drive continuous improvement and learning within ?Jawbone?s cross-functional product teams and throughout the supply chain.
Implement and lead a Lessons Learned process during the EFFA phase.
Implement an Ok to Ship process for key component suppliers
Manage a Field Return Failure Analysis process that monitors and ?analyzes call and field return data. Drives root cause analysis and corrective action back into Engineering, ODM and Supply Chain. ?
Engineering or Technical Degree, BS, MS and/or MBA
Minimum 10-15 years of broad product technical design and/or manufacturing experience
Minimum 7-10 years of product quality and reliability experience
Experience managing Asia-pacific based ODM?s developing consumer electronic products
Knowledge of Supply Chain, Procurement and Business Management
Ability to influence cross-functionally and cross-culturally.
Understanding of ISO 9000 Quality Management Requirements
Certified Quality Manager, Six Sigma Black Belt
Ability to work independently with minimum direction
Excellent English verbal and writing skills ? secondary language skills in Mandarin Chinese and/or Spanish
Extensive international travel is required
