Job Function:
The Sr. Manufacturing Test Integration Engineer reports to the Test Manager and is
responsible for developing test automation projects, transitioning test and
calibration processes from R&D to Operations and developing LEAN test
methods, processes and equipment for laser based spectroscopic analytical
analyzers.
Responsibilities:
Transfer designs and application from R&D to into production. In this role, you take slow, precise and exact R&D manual calibration and test methods and translate these into high-speed, simple and exact processes for production personnel to execute. You work directly with these groups to determine and establish acceptable production specifications.
Create and implement automated test and calibration hardware and software that operate in a production environment with complete procedures for test technicians Ideally, this test apparatus verifies low level test signals from UUT, high level performance and calibrates the UUT through automated control of electronic gas blending hardware and electronics control of the UUT. The resulting test data is logged and there are no manual processes.
Provide floor support for test technicians and existing test setups
Work with R&D, Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering to resolve problems when found, including root cause problems, then working with manufacturing engineering design to implement permanent solutions in the appropriate area in manufacturing
Continuous improvement to existing test and calibration methods that result in improved calibration accuracy, increased test coverage, higher throughput and simpler operation
for test technicians
