The MaxPoint marketing department is looking for a motivated professional to join our team as a senior marketing communications manager. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for advertising, branding, website, social media and public relations. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a positive attitude, an eye for detail, and the ability to effectively communicate to a variety of internal and external audiences.
Develop and maintain the overall marketing communications strategy.
Develop and manage our corporate and field advertising campaigns across a variety of channels and formats including digital, video, print, outdoor digital billboards and direct mail.
Ensure our brand image is on strategy and consistent.
Develop and manage the social media strategy.
Manage the corporate website strategy, working with our content team and design team.
Manage the relationship and activities with our external PR firm, including press releases, byline articles, media and analyst relationships, executive speaker bureau, award programs, and crisis management.
Manage a team as well as external vendors.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills required.
Experience with media planning and buying.
Experience working closely with senior level executives.
Ability to develop strong networks and build credibility within the organization.
Ability to perform well in a team environment and manage multiple deadline-driven projects.
Must be flexible and solution-oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
Excellent project management experience with attention to detail.
Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Word, PowerPoint and Excel as well as flexibility with similar alternative programs.
Ability to process a vast amount of information and understand and prioritize competing business needs.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and vendors at all levels to meet business goals.
Willingness to roll up his/her sleeves to get the work done or go the extra mile.
Flexible personality and quick learner who operates with a sense of urgency.
Highly organized self-starter.
Knowledge of social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Google+, Digg, and Delicious.
Strong personal work ethic.
Willingness to travel to industry and company-sponsored events (approximately 20% travel)
BA/BS from an accredited university with 10+ years of experience working in a marketing communications capacity
Experience working with a technology company is a plus, but not required
Experience working in an advertising agency preferred
