Description
Job Title Senior Microsoft Application Developer
General Responsibilities:
The Sr. Microsoft Application Developer is responsible for architecture and the overall design of Evenflos custom development environment including playing a lead role in all related technology decisions. The candidate must be a seasoned communicator that is comfortable working with various levels of management and non-technical users. The candidate must be able to translate technical concepts and issues into non-technical terms to effectively communicate with all project members. The candidate must have a solid understanding of typical business processes and associated applications.
Examples of Typical Activities:
Communicate effectively with a wide variety of users to identify business requirements and recommend proper and effective technology solutions.
Manage projects from start to finish including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, implementation, and support/maintenance.
Lead development efforts associated with all legacy applications and new development efforts.
Support, maintain and enhance the current Microsoft .Net deployed applications including but not limited to a consumer relationship management solution, a product claims system, and several B2B web based systems.
Serve as an IT lead in various purchased software implementations to help business functions achieve efficiencies and goals.
Work closely with the MS SQL & Oracle DBA, ERP analysts/developers, and Windows system administrators on various development projects.
Participate in key IT decisions related to all business applications.
Required Experience
Minimum of 8 years of relevant development experience
BS Degree in an IT related field a plus.
MCSD a plus
Required Technical Competencies
Solid Microsoft .Net programming experience including experience with ASP.Net, ASP.NET MVC, AJAX, VB.Net, C, LINQ and Entity Framework.
Strong relational database skills; including SQL and Oracle.
JavaScript, including frameworks like jQuery
Experience developing web-based applications, windows-based applications and web services.
IIS administration
Solid understanding of web application development standards and best practices.
Solid understanding of Internet and application security best practices.
Some Windows & SQL Server administration knowledge.
Experience in writing stored procedures and views in SQL server and/or Oracle.
Understanding of networking concepts; TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, etc.
Experience with OWMs and code generation tools a plus (NHibernate, MyGeneration)
