Duties: Responsible for design, analysis, evaluation, test and implementation of various information systems in support of protection of company information assets including but not limited to IDS/IPS, antivirus applications, data encryption, Identity management systems, Configuration management systems. Also responsible for information security policy development and maintenance; design of security policy education, training, and awareness activities; monitoring compliance with company security policy and applicable law; and coordinating investigation and reporting of security incidents, risk assessment reviews, and to monitor, assess, and apply corrective actions to disaster recovery program. Working with the Operation team, the Senior Information Security Engineer is responsible for information security related operations which are to be performed by the team external to operations due to requirements of segregation of duties (network penetration tests, application vulnerability assessment scans).
Requirements:
Employer will accept Bachelor?s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field and two year(s) of work experience in job offered or two year(s) of work experience in a network-related occupation. Experience may be gained concurrently. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Employer will accept bachelor?s degree educational equivalency evaluation prepared by a qualified evaluation service or in accordance with 8 CFR 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(D). Experience must include two years experience in the following skills:
1. Software Security Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
2. IDS/IPS systems deployment and operation including Snort, HP TippingPoint and Checkpoint
3. Applications level firewalls using Fortinet and/or Palo Alto Networks
4. Symmetrical and asymmetrical encryption algorithms and its implementation in information systems
5. Metasploit Exploitation Framework by Rapid7 for penetration testing
