Sr Performance Engineer PHT
The Sr Performance Engineer has full responsibility for planning, organizing and conducting phases of software projects. He or she develops performance test plans, test scripts, load simulators and harnesses to thoroughly test products against approved specifications.
Develop, maintain and extend the performance framework, including all scripts and libraries.
Performance tuning: find the root cause of bottlenecks and suggest performance improvements.
Analyze various components of the application (web server, application server, database, phone devices etc) to identify performance bottlenecks (at application, performance and OS layers) and support performance tuning exercises.
Analyze test results and provide management with an assessment on the reliability and robustness of the products before the release. Write technical and summary reports that present results to management.
Develop, communicate, maintain, and enforce standards and guidelines for the performance effort.
Work to improve performance development efficiency, maintainability, and re-usability.
Ensure on-time delivery performance test results and reports.
Troubleshoot performance failures and resolve issues found during test execution. Identify defects, document and triage those defects.
Participate as the QA representative on a cross functional team involves reviewing early drafts of specifications and making meaningful contributions.
Work closely with QA automation team and development teams to ensure adequate/maximum performance coverage/effectiveness.
Education Minimum: BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of performance testing n-tier software applications
Minimum of 4 years of expert in SilkPerformer, LoadRunner or JMeter
Minimum of 2 years of experience with at least one programming language, such as Java, Java Script, C++, C# is essential
Experience in MSSQL or Oracle
