Sr. Product Manager, Big Data 24/7 Customer

Big Data Platform, you will be responsible for leading efforts to improve how we capture and leverage data from the billions customer interactions we support annually. This highly technical role is ideal for an individual who can combine insight into user needs with an understanding of what big data technologies can offer. The successful candidate will be an ambitious, self-starter with a passion for leveraging data and analytics to drive market-leading customer service results for our clients and their customers.
Big Data is at the center of our core capability to capture, learn from, and continually improve consumer interactions. You will be the expert on product specifications, solutions, target markets, and competitive landscape in your focus areas. You will be responsible for driving business growth and building innovative solutions that meet customer and business needs. You will serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offerings, occasionally working with data scientists, application developers, the sales channel, and key customers.

Product Managers are the CEOs of their products and are responsible for defining, prioritizing, planning and driving the execution of the vision for their product lines. Product Managers must possess business acumen as well as engineering skills in order to be able to strategize, drive and bring their product to market. Product Managers must work extensively with customers while working cross functionally within the company in order to successfully prioritize features and develop the products that our customers need. The Sr. Product Manager will join a team that drives the overall Product Strategy and Roadmap for customer service platforms and applications. In this highly visible and strategic role, you will be responsible for key products in the portfolio. You will formulate the product strategy, define requirements and launch predictive analytic-centric solutions that will revolutionize customer experience on smartphones, tablets, PCs and other connected consumer devices.

Partner with key stakeholders including other Product Managers, Product Engineers, Data Sciences, Client Services, Sales, Marketing, and User Experience teams to define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for new data services that serve internal partners and external customers
Evangelize the data service platform through blogs, tech talks, and demonstrations
Interact with customers and prospects to define market requirements, and translate these requirements into product requirements that the engineering team can deliver within specification, on time, and within budget.
Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and prospects
Collaborate with Engineering to prioritize, execute and launch key products and solutions
Create and deliver sales training for the direct sales force
Perform market research and competitive analysis
Develop and implement a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.
Analyze potential partner relationships for the product
A passion and track record for building products that customers love
Experience launching highly technical, internet scale, platform products and services- particularly in the Cloud
Proven success based upon building broad-based support for new ideas from concept to launch
3+ years of product management experience working with software engineering teams along with overall industry experience of 8+ years
Experience managing products providing REST-ful APIs
Experience with big data processing technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, and Cassandra
Strong understanding of enterprise management solutions, customer service applications, predictive analytics, or related fields
Strong analytic and strategic thinking skills
Excellent written and presentation skills
Ability to collaborate actively & effectively on multidisciplinary teams
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapid growth environment
A team player with passion, initiative, and leadership ability
Experience launching an enterprise wide Big Data Platform as a Service (PaaS)
Experience building products with machine learning or data mining systems that work with very large data sets (e.g. recommendation systems)
CS or MS degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
Experience working with agile software development methods
Experience with CRM solutions
Familiarity with Web 2.0 technologies (e.g., HTML5, CSS3)
Familiarity with leading mobile platforms (iOS, Android)
