IPI is looking for a senior technical Product Manager to join our product management team. In this role, you will be a key member of the product team who will work very closely with Engineering and Sales for continuation of IPI?s leadership in networking solutions for Wireless Mobile Backhaul, Data Center, Carrier Ethernet, Optical transport and SDN across enterprise and cloud service provider market segments.
Product & Solution Definition (technical and business)
Field, industry and customer education via presentations at industry forums. Experience with social media is high desirable.
Development of product strategy, roadmap, positioning, and all elements related to the developing business case, Market Requirement Documents, Product Requirement Documents, Marketing Collateral (Price List, Product Presentation, Product Data Sheet, Product Bulletin ) for Sales and external customers
Direct OEM customer and partner interaction, including engagement with large network equipment vendors (assisting in RFP/RFQ responses).
Product Launch communications and Analyst briefings
Deep technical understanding of switching and routing protocols, products and use cases.
Strong grasp of product portfolio of major networking OEMs (like Cisco, Arista, Juniper Networks)
Deep technical understanding of network management ? needs, current portfolio
Strong grasp of landscape of competitive offerings
Knowledge of Server virtualization/hypervisor technologies (for example: VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Opensource Xen/KVM hypervisors) and virtual machine networking is highly desirable.
Knowledge of hypervisor and cloud management tools such as VMware vCenter & vCloud Director, Microsoft SCVMM, Citrix XenCenter and RedHat RHEV and sound understanding of open-source SDN implementations like Openflow and Openstack is highly desirable.
Demonstrated experience in working with OEM customer and partners

Ability to dexterously work across organizational and functional boundaries (engineering, sales and business development).
Educational & Experience Required:
6+ years of overall product management experience, in data networking product management experience.
Graduate Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering highly desirable. MBA is a plus.
Proven track record & strong work ethic are a must!
