Position Overview
As a Sr. Product Marketing Manager, you will own outbound marketing activities, such as developing and driving product messaging that clearly articulates our market leading position. In addition, you will create and deliver core content to position FireEye as the thought leader in our space across key verticals. Responsibilities include product messaging and positioning, presenting at industry events, developing field enablement tools, training sales and partners, contributing articles, and other product-related outbound marketing activities. As a Sr. Product Marketing Manager, you will work as part of the Products group with close interactions with Marketing and Sales. The position reports to the Director of Product Marketing.
Developing product positioning working with product management that is both compelling and differentiating in the market
Communicating the value proposition of the product to the sales team and developing collateral and other sales tools to support the process
Managing product launches along with product management to introduce new products and releases
Gathering market intelligence on our clients and prospects, how they buy and their buying criteria; being the expert on our competition and how to win against them
Working with field marketing and lead generation teams to develop the strategy and inform the programs that drive demand for your product(s)
The Candidate
The successful candidate will have 5-8 years of related industry experience in product marketing, preferably information security or networking. Strong written and oral communication skills are mandatory. Technical acumen and experience with enterprise security products are highly valuable. Candidates with high energy, a responsive attitude, and a desire for success will be given preference. This job requires up to 25 percent travel.
Required Skills and Attributes
Bachelor?s degree in Marketing or a technical field is required, MBA desirable
Understands network and/or endpoint security solutions
Excellent verbal communication, presentation skills, and writing proficiency
Develop strongly differentiated product positioning and messaging
Experience with enterprise security products
Able to conceive, initiate, and sell new ideas in a team environment
Strong interpersonal skills to engage with technical and sales communities with credibility
Strong internal/external presentation skills a must
Demonstrates creative energy in message delivery
